Rapid Health Online Triage System – A Month in Action!
Since Monday 8th September 2025, our new Rapid Health online triage system has been available to help you access healthcare more quickly and conveniently.
With Rapid Health, you can:
- Skip the phone queue!
- Access appointments & make requests between 8am – 6.30pm!
- Request sick notes, enquire about test results, and order medication – all online!
It only takes about 5 minutes to complete, and you’ll either be offered an appointment or flagged for triage.
What is Rapid Health?
Rapid Health is an NHS-approved AI-driven triage tool that allows you to book appointments quickly and gives you more choice and availability by connecting you with the right clinician first time.
How do I book an appointment?
The link to access Rapid Health is available on our website. You’ll also find posters in the practice with the link and a QR code.
We understand that not everyone can use online services, so our reception team remains available by phone and in person to assist you or complete the form on your behalf when needed. If you can use the online service, please do, as this helps our reception team focus on supporting those who can’t. Please note that using the telephone will not speed up your request, as all appointment queries follow the same process.
Can I use Rapid Health through my NHS App?
Not at the moment, but this feature is currently in development. Keep an eye out for updates.
What if I want to see a specific GP?
When booking, you will see which GPs have available appointments. We encourage you to book with your usual GP where possible.
Can I pre-book an appointment?
All our appointments are available via Rapid Health. After completing the triage questions, you’ll be offered an appointment within an appropriate timeframe.
Why have I been offered an appointment with this clinician?
Appointments are offered based on the most appropriate clinician for your clinical needs.
I wasn’t offered an appointment – what should I do?
If no appointment is offered after completing the triage, the reception team will be notified. Your issue will be triaged by the practice, and someone will contact you within 48 hours.
My problem is personal, and I only want to tell a GP.
The information you provide is saved to your medical records and reviewed by the clinician during your appointment. All practice staff adhere to strict confidentiality policies.
