| Remember that the database reflects only specimens especially MSU's sent the laboratory.Sometimes patients especially with minor infections may be given Trimethoprim empirically and not have a MSU taken unless they return because of failure to respond.Look and see Trimethoprim resistance figures -this may be the explanation.
