Like all NHS services at the moment- GP practices have to adapt the provision of services to manage workload in order to continue to deliver safe patient care.

Littlewick is working closely with the other GP practices in Erewash to promote sustainable, high quality GP care in the locality. Successes of this work so far are the additional appointments at evenings and weekends at Ilkeston Hospital, the enhanced nursing home and home visiting services. We are working together in Ilkeston to develop a day time additional appointment service due to start this winter.

With an ever growing demand for GP Services and appointments did you know that there are many NHS services that patients can self-refer to without seeing a GP or Practice Nurse first.

Thisis a guide to self-referral-patients can access online, phone directly or collect a self-referral leaflet from the practice reception desk to complete. Please also note that most services detailed here offer appointments at the surgery or local Ilkeston Community Hospital.
